Updates


The Travel and Entertainment Regulations' Web site will be updated periodically by the University Travel Office. We encourage you to review the updates section regularly to be informed of any changes that have been made to the Travel and Entertainment Regulations.


01/02/14 The standard mileage rate is changing on January 1, 2014, to 56 cents per mile.
 
01/02/13 The standard mileage rate increased to 56.5 cents per mile on January 1, 2013.
 
06/27/11 The standard mileage rate is changing on July 1, 2011 to 55.5 cents per mile.
 
12/21/10 The standard mileage rate is changing on January 1, 2011 to 51 cents per mile.
 
12/18/09 The standard mileage rate is changing on January 1, 2010 to 50 cents per mile.
 
02/13/09 The standard mileage rate effective January 1, 2009 is 55 cents per mile.
 
06/24/08 The standard mileage rate is changing on July 1, 2008 to 58.5 cents per mile.
 
12/20/07 The standard mileage rate is changing on January 1, 2008 to 50.5 cents per mile.
 
03/16/07 Effective March 16, 2007, the maximum daily reimbursement for meals when traveling out-of-state is increased from $45 to $55.
 
01/05/07 The standard mileage rate increased to 48.5 cents per mile on January 1, 2007.
 
01/03/06 The standard mileage rate is changing on January 1, 2006 to 44.5 cents per mile.
 
11/07/05 Effective September 8, 2005, the per diem allowance for instate travel that requires an overnight stay is $75.00 per day.

Meal allowances for travel that does not require an overnight stay is now set at the following rates:
$11.25 for travel of at least 6 hours, but not exceeding 12 hours.
$30.00 for travel of more than 12 hours, but not overnight.
 
09/14/05 The standard mileage rate is changing on September 1, 2005 to 48.5 cents per mile.
 
01/05/05 The standard mileage rate is changing on January 1, 2005 to 40.5 cents per mile
 
10/21/03 The standard mileage rate is changing on January 1, 2004 to 37.5 cents per mile.
 
04/01/03Meal allowances for travel that does not require an overnight stay is now set at the following rates:
$7.50 for travel of at least 6 hours, but not exceeding 12 hours.
$20.00 for travel of more than 12 hours, but not overnight.
 
04/01/03The per diem allowance for instate travel that requires an overnight stay is now set at the following rates:
$50.00 per day for two-day trips (one night)
$66.66 per day for three-day trips (two nights)
$75.00 per day for trips of four days or longer (three or more nights)

The standard mileage rate is changing on January 1, 2003 to 36 cents per mile.      
12/17/01The standard mileage rate is changing on January 1, 2002 to 36.5 cents per mile.
12/04/00The standard mileage rate is changing on January 1, 2001 to 34.5 cents per mile.
