Current Issues:

Listed below are the three issues that the Faculty Senators voted to be of highest priority for this committee for this year:

1. Explore and report on issues related to the use of Turnitin, the plagiarism-detection software purchased by the University: copyright, syllabus statements, use in teaching, technological support for, and actions resulting from its use.

2. Explore and report on the possible development of wireless computing across campus—the teaching possibilities and technical issues surrounding it.

3. Work on better co-ordination and publicity of faculty development sessions on technology —Faculty Fridays, PETAL (Program for the Enhancement of Teach- ing and Learning) seminars and workshops, Academic Computing classes, and others.
