Bachelor's Degrees

The Adult Degree Program has been designed by the Department of Interdisciplinary Studies to give adult students a variety of options in earning a bachelor’s degree tailored to their individual education goals.  The program offers a flexible alternative to traditional college majors by allowing adults to design a major to best support their academic and career goals through one of seven fields of study: Administrative Sciences, Applied Arts, Applied Sciences, Human Services, Community Services, Liberal Studies and Professional Development.

The Mitchell College of Business offers a bachelor’s degree in general business at the USABC campus.  The concentration in general business is designed for students planning careers in small business management, institutional management, human resource management or sales.

The Communication – Public Relations Track teaches students how to provide an organization with exposure to their target market by using topics of public interest.

Criminal Justice provides students interested in law enforcement, criminal law, corrections, and the criminal court system with a broad educational background emphasizing social science while developing critical thinking, writing and analysis skills.

The program in Elementary Education is designed to prepare teachers for kindergarten through grade six.  Successful completion of the program may qualify the candidate for a Class B Certificate in Elementary Education.  Students may also qualify for a Class B Certificate in Early Childhood Education through an additional internship placement.

The College of Nursing - BSN is dedicated to education of professional nurses who provide the highest quality health care to the communities they serve.  The practice of nursing is both an art and a science that focuses on diagnosis and treatment of human responses to actual or potential health problems.

The College of Nursing – Accelerated BSN Track is for academically qualified and highly motivated individuals.  The professional component of the curriculum which normally takes 5 semesters to complete can be completed in 12 months of full-time study.  The curriculum and contact hours are the same as the traditional BSN degree except the course schedule is accelerated and is not confined by the traditional academic calendar.

In addition, USA Baldwin County provides course work that leads to a degree in Social Work.  Minors can be earned in Communication and Psychology.

Master's Degrees

School Counseling provides students with an opportunity to work in an employment setting where the primary focus is helping students make good career decisions and assisting clients with job placement. School counselors also work in kindergarten through high school settings assisting students in coping with personal and social decisions, career and educational planning and college choices. School counselors may often take part in multidisciplinary decision making processes in the school and assist in developing individualized educational plans.

The College of Nursing – Accelerated MSN Track is for advanced undergraduates and for individuals with a non-nursing bachelor degree. The curriculum can be completed in 18 to 24 months of full-time study and prepares the student for licensure as a registered nurse and for a career as a nurse educator, clinical nurse leader or nurse administrator.

USA Baldwin County offers additional graduate level courses leading to a degree in Educational Leadership and Special Education.   Also, a master’s degree in Elementary Education can be earned online.  Visit Admissions to apply today.
