Arts and History Day at USA, 2:00 pm, USA's Archaeology Museum- South Drive, Event will feature the grand opening and open house for new displays of the region's cultural history at USA's Archaeology Museum; a presentation on the ancient art process used to create the new Moulton Tower murals; fine arts glassblowing demonstrations; and outdoor musical and theatrical performances.   For more information contact Diane Nesmith (Public Relations) at (251) 460-6211.

If & LookUp Functions in Excel 2010 (Part III), 1:30 pm, CSC Seminar Room, This intermediate course will focus on working with “nested” If- function and LookUp function. We will examine If-analysis feature and will also explore some statistical and text functions like CountA, CountIF, Clean, Trim, and Concatenate. We will look at several options for conditional formatting of your data. And finally, we will review various options for electronic distribution of your Excel files. Pre-requisites: intermediate level of Excel 2007/2010 knowledge or having attended “Formulae & Functions in Excel 2010 (Part II)” class. Homecoming 2012, 8:00 am, Moulton Tower and Alumni Plaza, Homecoming 2012: Our 50th Anniversary Homecoming weekend, Oct. 18-20, will include a dedication for the new murals at Moulton Tower and Alumni Plaza. This event on Friday, Oct. 19, at 5:30 p.m., will also honor new lifetime members of the USA National Alumni Association, followed by the Homecoming parade, pep rally, fireworks, and music. The beautiful ceiling murals under the tower were created by Jason Guynes, USA visual arts department chair and noted muralist. The four panels depict teaching, research, outreach and health care, and student life. LOV (Light of the Village), 3:00 pm, Faculty Court South, Room #8, Every Thursday afternoon we'll be volunteering at LOV.
