Mission Statement   To develop, conduct, coordinate, and disseminate results of research concerning engineering design of transportation systems (roads, bridges, and waterways) in environmentally sensitive coastal areas. Research will focus on the design of technologically sound and environmentally friendly solutions to future transportation needs including, but not limited to, roadway design for survivability and storm water runoff management in areas occasionally exposed to coastal storm surge.
