About Us

The Development Office of the University of South Alabama Children's and Women's Hospital generates funds for and awareness of programs that benefit patients served by the hospital. USA Children's and Women's Hospital is one of only two children's hospitals in Alabama affiliated with Children's Miracle Network.

Our patients receive treatment from health care professionals with specific training and experience in the fields of pediatrics and obstetrical/gynelogical care.

In 2006, approximately 50,666 children from southern Alabama, northwest Florida, and southeast Mississippi received care from the USA Hospital System. Our labor and delivery unit successfully delivered more than 2,600 babies, many from high risk or complicated pregnancies. This number of births totals more than any other hospital in Alabama - more than all hospitals in Mobile combined.
