Preparing for Childbirth
The expectant mother and her support person (coach) can choose to attend class on Monday nights for four weeks or the all-day Saturday class.
Topics include:
pregnancy changes, labor, role of the support coach, relaxation and breathing techniques, vaginal and cesarean births, newborn and after delivery care, and a tour of the maternity areas.
Please bring 2-3 pillows and a blanket to class.
Fee: $35.00.
You should plan on beginning the 4-week series when you are approximately 28 weeks pregnant.
Class will meet in the Jubilee Room.

Pediatric First Aid
This class is for parents, teachers, and community
caregivers, or anyone interested in learning basic first aid
training for children. There will be hands-on learning as well
as discussion. Learn to recognize the signs and symptoms of
serious injuries and sudden illness. Information given about
care of the child in shock or the care of burns, strains, cuts,
and seizures. Overview given of child CPR with practice in
the skills.
Fee: $5.00.
Class will be taught in the Jubilee Room.

Breastfeeding
This one-night class is for expectant and newly delivered mothers and their support persons who want to learn about breastfeeding.
Topics include: advantages, myths and facts, getting started, correct positioning, latching on, engorgement, returning to work, and
problem-solving.
No fee. Class meets from 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm, Thursday.
Class will meet in the 2nd floor classroom.

Infant Parenting Class
This class is designed to help both the new and expectant
parents learn about the milestones their infant will achieve in
the first year of life. There will be information regarding
appropriate care of the infant as they grow, along with the
potential health safety issues a parent could face. Information
will also be given regarding the importance of play, age
appropriate interaction and their effects on infants during this
incredible first year.
Class meets 6:30 pm-9:00 pm in the Jubilee room. |

Girl Talk
This class is for preteen and teenage girls. Topics include:
Your changing body, becoming a woman, self-esteem
builders, and dealing with peer pressure! Moms and
daughters welcome.
Fee: $5.00 per person.
Class will meet in the Atlantis Room, CWEB 2.

Marvelous Multiples
Are you expecting twins, triplets, or more? If so, this
3-part series of classes is for you and your support coach.
Topics include: the joys and pleasures of parenting
multiples, risks and complications of a multiple pregnancy,
and coping with the physical and emotional stress. This is
also a time for expectant parents to develop friendships
with other families of multiples. A tour of Labor and
Delivery, Mother/Baby, and the Neonatal Intensive Care
Unit will be included. Participants should plan on attending
during the early part of their pregnancy.
Class meets on Tuesday nights from 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm.
Fee: $25.
Class will meet in the Jubilee Room.

Infant Safety/CPR
This one-night class is designed for both expectant and new
parents. Topics include: preparing your house for the new
baby, car seat safety and infant CPR instruction.
