No children at classes, please. Class size is limited. Advanced payment required to secure your reservation.
 
Preparing for Childbirth
The expectant mother and her support person (coach) can choose to attend class on Monday nights for three weeks or the all-day Saturday class. Topics include: pregnancy changes, labor, role of the support coach, relaxation and breathing techniques, vaginal and cesarean births, postpartum care, and a tour of the maternity areas. Fee: $35.00. You should plan on beginning the 3-week series when you are approximately 28 weeks pregnant. Class will meet in the Jubilee Room.

NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit) Breastfeeding
This is a one hour class to encourage and support mothers who have infants in the NICU. This class includes a video about the benefits of expressed breast milk for sick and preterm infants, which includes pumping and placing your infant to breast. This is also an opportunity to meet other mothers and ask questions. Class meets at 1:00 pm. No fee. Class will meet in the 2nd floor classroom.

Preparing for a C-Section
This class is for expectant mothers and their support person to learn more information about the operative delivery of their baby by cesarean birth. The class will show a video of an actual c-section. Also, the class will discuss preparation and the recovery process of the csection delivery. Learn what to expect if you have a high risk pregnancy or plan to have a c-section. Class meets from 6:30 pm - 9:00 pm. Fee: $5.00. Class will be taught in the Jubilee Room.

Infant Care, Safety and CPR
This one-night class is designed for both expectant and new parents. Topics include: preparing your house for the new baby, car seat safety and infant CPR instruction. Fee: $5.00 per person. Class meets from 6:30 pm - 9:00 pm. Class will meet in the Jubilee Room.

Pediatric Safety /CPR
This class is for parents, teachers, and community caregivers, or anyone interested in learning basic first aid training for children. There will be hands-on learning as well as discussion. Overview given of child CPR with practice in the skills. Class meets from 6:30 pm - 9:00 pm. Fee: $5.00. Class will be taught in the Jubilee Room.

Breastfeeding
This one-night class is for expectant and newly delivered mothers and their support persons who want to learn about breastfeeding. Topics include: advantages, myths and facts, getting started, correct positioning, latching on, engorgement, returning to work, and problem-solving. Class meets from 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm, Thursday. Class will meet in the 2nd floor classroom. Fee: $5.00.
