Class size is limited

Infant Safety/CPR
This one-night class is designed for both expectant and new parents. Topics include: preparing your house for the new baby, car seat safety and infant CPR. Fee $5.00.
Class meets from 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm.

Sibling Class
This class is designed for soon-to-be siblings and their parents. A fun way to children ages 2-6 who are expecting a new baby in the family. The class is free and includes a tour of the hospital maternity unit for the parent and child. The class meets on selected Saturdays from 9:00 am - 10:30 pm.

Healthy Steps for Teen Parents
This series of three classes is designed for expectant teen parents. The information provided in the program is age appropriate and easy to understand. The classes cover important topics for having a healthy baby. Class I - Prenatal Care, Class II - labor and birth, Class III - Postpartum. Class meets 4:30 pm - 6:30 pm Fee: $20.00

Parenting Classes
This series of classes is designed to help parents learn about child development, safety tips, and discipline strategies. Classes held on Wed. evening from 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm. Classes are free.

  Infants (0-1 year of age) - April 2
  Toddlers (preschoolers) - April 9
  School Age - April 16
  Adolescent - April 30

Pediatric First Care
This class is designed for communicaty childcare givers, teachers, or anyone interested in learning basic first aid training for children. Participants learn to recognize the signs and symptoms of serious injuries and sudden illness. Information is offered about how to deal with emergencies like shock, burns, strains, cuts and seizures. Fee: $25.00

Time: 1:00 - 5:00 pm

 

Learning to Care
This program is an interactive presentation for 3rd through 5th graders that addresses the use of alcohol, helpful and harmful drugs, decision making and peer pressure. No Fee.

May 17
Time: 10:00 - 11:30 pm

 

Dare to Care
This program is a presentation that discusses the consequences of underage alcohol use, drinking and driving, and seatbelt non-compliance. It depicts the impact of such behaviour on families and others. This presentation is aimed at teens, college students and young adults. No Fee.

Aug 2
Time: 10:00 - 11:30 pm

 

Girl Talk
This class is for preteen and teenage girls. Topics include: your changing body, becoming a woman, self-esteem builders, and dealing with peer pressure! No fee.
