Social workers respect the autonomy, rights and dignity of all patients. USA Children’s & Women’s Hospital social workers are committed to providing high standards of patient care while working closely with other members of the patient care team. Social workers will assess and meet the psychosocial needs of the patient and the patient’s immediate caregivers. This may include problem solving, discharge planning or coordination of community resources. All services will be provided given the patient’s freedom of choice while insuring patient confidentiality.
