TELL SOUTH is USAFCU's telephone banking system. With TELL SOUTH, you have access to your account 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
 
Using TELL SOUTH is a free and convenient service for performing a variety of financial transactions wherever you are. All you need is a Touch-Tone® phone and your personal identification number (PIN), and the information you need is at your fingertips.
 
With TELL SOUTH, access to your money and account information is protected by a four-digit PIN that you select. No one, not even the Credit Union will know this secret number except you. Therefore, to keep your account secure, it is very important that you do not write your PIN on anything, or share it with anyone.
 
By entering your account number, your PIN number, and pressing a few buttons on your Touch-Tone® phone, you can easily conduct many Credit Union transactions including:
 
  • Account balances
  • Cleared checks
  • Dividend / interest rates
  • Loan modeling and payment quotes
  • Deposits
  • Transfers

1. Dial TELL SOUTH at (251) 341-1863 or toll-free at 1-866-449-9588.
 
2. Choose the type of information you need from TELL SOUTH's main menu:
 
 
  • Press 1 for account information
     
    Don't enter decimals. For example press 53502# to enter $535.02.
    Don't write your secret four-digit PIN on anything. It's better to memorize it. If you forget the number, or if someone else discovers it, you can select a new one by choosing 6# on the TELL SOUTH menu.
    Use the subaccount codes shown below to identify your share account, checking account, Christmas Club, loan, etc.
     
  • Press 2 to transfer funds or to request a check  
     
  • Press 3 for rates information
     
  • Press 4 for loan modeling
  • Press 5 to set or change your PIN, or to activate your Debit Card or report a lost or stolen debit card  
     
     
    3. When requested, enter your account number and your secret four-digit PIN
     
    After each main menu selection, TELL SOUTH will offer you further choices. Simply press the corresponding key on your telephone to indicate your selection. To identify specific accounts, use the sub-account identifiers:
     
    00 Share (Savings) Account
    15-18 Tuition Loans
    21-29 Loan Accounts
    61 IRA Club Accounts
    68 Christmas Club Accounts
    71-79 Checking Account
    81-89 Certificates of Deposit
    91-99 Certificates of Deposit
     
    During any menu, you may select these other options:
     
  • Press 9 to return to the main menu
  • Press # to end call
  • Press * to replay current information
  • Press ** to replay previous menu
