A Multicenter Double-Blinded Study In Patients With Compensated Cirrhosis Due To Chronic Hepatitis C Who Are Non-Responders To Prior Interferon Alfa Or interferon Alfa + Ribavirin Therapy, Comparing Treatment With Thymosin Alpha 1 + PEG-Interferon Alfa-2A With PEG-interferon Alfa-2a + Placebo.
Lead investigator: Jorge L. Herrera M.D.
Investigational agents: Pegylated interferon alfa-2a (Pegasys) and thymosin alpha 1 (Zadaxin).

Study Subjects: Patients with chronic hepatitis C infection who have biopsy proven stage 3 or 4 fibrosis, compensated liver disease, and have received at least 24 weeks of non-pegylated antiviral therapy and failed to clear virus.

A Randomized, Open-label, Multicenter, Efficacy and Safety Study Examining the Effects of Duration of Treatment and of a High Induction Dose of Pegasys in combination with daily Copegus in Patients with Chronic Hepatitis C who did not respond to previous Peginterferon with alfa-2b/ribavirin Combination.

Study Subjects: Patients who failed therapy with Peginterferon alfa-2b(Peg-intron) and ribavirin
