The entire University of South Alabama (USA) Hospitals and Clinics system is utilized. Although the majority of time is spent at the USA Medical Center and Infirmary West, other university facilities utilized include the Stanton Road Clinic facility adjacent to the USA Medical Center and USA Children’s and Women’s Hospital, where consultation on obstetrical and gynecologic patients occur. In addition, the Mobile County Health Department facilities are utilized for the tuberculosis clinic. Research facilities are primarily located on the main USA campus in the Medical Sciences Building, where most of the Center for Lung Biology activity occurs. Other research sites include clinical or public health areas depending on the type of research the fellow is performing.
