The University of South Alabama Department of Neurology Residency Training Program will begin accepting applications through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS) on September 1, 2008.

We have two positions available as follows:
 

PGY II - 2010

USA Neurology is registered as an advanced program in the National Residency Matching Program (NRMP). Applicants are required to apply to a preliminary Internal Medicine program as well as Neurology (per board certification requirements). The University of South Alabama Internal Medicine Department offers a preliminary program. Their department works closely with neurology and radiology to accommodate preliminary positions required for our specialty programs. Applicants with questions regarding an advanced program can call the NRMP Help Desk at 866-617-5838.

Applications will be accepted through ERAS. Documents required include a common application form, CV, three letters of recommendation, MSPE (dean’s letter), copy of MD diploma, and official copies of USMLE scores. If you are a foreign medical graduate please provide a copy of your current ECFMG certificate. Applicants on visa please note we only accept J1.
 
Interview criteria includes: graduation date after May 2004 and USMLE Step 1 and 2 scores of > 85. We do not require U.S. clinical experience.
