Augmentation Procedures |
Breast Augmentation,
technically known as augmentation mammoplasty, is a
surgical procedure to enlarge the size and shape of
a woman's breast. This procedure is typically done:
- To enhance the body contour of a woman who, for
personal reasons, feels her breast size is too small.
- To correct a reduction in breast volume after pregnancy.
- To balance a difference in breast size.

Breast
Reduction is a procedure to reduce breast volume. It sometimes
is used to balance breast size in addition to breast reconstructive
procedures. |

Reconstruction |
Reconstruction
of a breast that has been removed due to cancer or other
disease is one of the most rewarding surgical procedures
available today. New medical techniques and devices have
made it possible for surgeons to create a breast that
closely matches a natural breast in both form and appearance.

| Correcting
Congenital Abnormalities and effects of Trauma |
Birthmarks,
abnormal breast development, hand deformities and deformed
ears are the most common examples of congenital defects
that can be corrected. Children born with a cleft palate
or lip will require reconstructive surgery, which is usually
performed when the child is young. Scars, burns, and hand
injuries may result from trauma and often require reconstructive
surgery. |

| Cosmetic
Eyelid Surgery |
| Eyelid surgery
is performed on men and women of all ages who feel their
eyes are making them look tired, sad or older than they
feel. Eyelid surgery can remove the excess fat and drooping
skin of the upper eyelids, minimize bags under the eyes
and tighten the lower eyelid skin. The result is a more
alert and rested appearance. |

| Facelift
Surgery |
| A facelift can
improve the most visible signs of aging by removing excess
fat, tightening underlying muscles and re-draping the
skin of your face and neck. A facelift can be done alone
or in conjunction with other procedures such as a forehead
lift, eyelid surgery or nose reshaping. The best candidate
for a facelift is a man or a woman whose face and neck
have begun to sag but whose skin still has some elasticity
and whose bone structure is strong and well-defined. Most
patients are in their forties and fifties, but facelifts
can be done successfully on people in their seventies
and eighties. |

| Liposuction
Procedures |
| Liposuction is
a surgical procedure that removes deposits of excess fat
from specific areas of the body, face and neck. Liposuction
can be used to slim the hips and thighs, flatten the abdomen,
shape the calves and ankles or reduce a double chin. This
surgery is most commonly recommended for men and women
of normal weight who simply want to improve their body
contour. |

| Chemical
Peels |
| A chemical peel
uses a chemical solution to improve and smooth the texture
of the facial skin by removing its damaged outer layers.
Individuals with facial blemishes, wrinkles and uneven
skin pigmentation can benefit from this procedure. While
chemical peel is usually performed for cosmetic reasons,
it may also improve precancerous skin growths, soften
acne facial scars and even help to control acne. |

Cancer Treatments |
| The mild climate
on the Gulf Coast is conducive to outdoor activity, and
as a result, we see a higher incidence of skin cancer.
Problematic skin areas are relatively easy to detect and
most can be cured. A plastic surgeon may use various techniques
to remove pre-cancerous and cancerous lesions and help
minimize damage to the affected area. |
