The fifth annual Children's Miracle Network Radiothon to benefit University of South Alabama Children's & Women's Hospital will be broadcast live Nov. 24-26 on Lite Mix 99.9 FM. Listeners will have the opportunity to call in pledges that will be used to purchase medical equipment, support research, and provide programs and services to Gulf Coast area children treated at USA Children's & Women's Hospital.
Children, families, doctors, staff and volunteers will share testimonials about their experiences at USA Children's & Women's Hospital as they are interviewed by Lite Mix personalities Mary Booth, Chris Smith and Mason Lafayette. More than $53,000 was pledged to the hospital during last year's event.
USA Children's & Women's Hospital serves patients in south Alabama, south Mississippi and northwest Florida, offering care unique to the area including the level three Wiseman Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, neonatal and pediatric transport service, pediatric intensive care unit, comprehensive maternity services including high-risk obstetrics, a child-life program and the Class Act hospital school program, the award-winning U.S.S. Hope children's cancer treatment center, and the hospital's nationally recognized USA Children's Park.
The radiothon will air from 5:30 a.m. until 7 p.m., Monday and Tuesday, Nov. 24-25 and will conclude Wednesday, Nov. 26 at noon.
