The free community event included a special sneak preview for USA employees and students, and offered tours to everyone of the hospital’s Labor and Delivery, Newborn Nursery, Neonatal Intensive Care and High-Risk Obstetric units. In addition, numerous health care vendors were present with informational displays and free product samples for expectant parents.

USA Children’s & Women’s Hospital is among less than ten freestanding hospitals nationwide dedicated specifically to the health care needs of children and women. The hospital’s Hollis J. Wiseman Neonatal Intensive Care Unit offers the area’s most advanced care for premature and critically ill newborns.

Comprehensive birthing services include special maternal/fetal medical care for high-risk pregnancies, private labor and delivery suites promoting family centered care, and a Mother/Baby unit with private rooms for the newly delivered mother.

The next Expectant Parents Extravaganza at USA Children’s & Women’s Hospital will take place next spring.
