Dr. Thea Moran

Dr. Thea Moran has been named assistant professor of radiology at the University of South Alabama College of Medicine.

Moran received her medical degree from the University of South Alabama in 1994. She completed her internship at the Washington Hospital Center in Washington, D.C. Following her internship, Moran completed her radiology residency at the Martin Luther King Jr./Charles R. Drew Medical Center in Los Angeles. She served as chief radiology resident in her last year of residency and in that same year was named Radiology Resident of the Year by the Martin Luther King Jr./Charles R. Drew Medical Center. In 2003, she completed her fellowship in interventional radiology at Louisiana State University in New Orleans.

Moran’s special interests within interventional radiology include trauma, interventional oncology and pain management. She is a member of the American Medical Association, Society of Interventional Radiology, American Roentgen Ray Society, Radiological Society of North America and the Los Angeles Radiological Society. Local societies she belongs to include the Mobile County Medical Society and the Medical Association of the State of Alabama.
