The USA Regional Transplant Center at the USA Medical Center has approximately 15 patients traveling to the 2006 U.S. Transplant Games June 16-21 in Louisville , Ky. The games, presented by the National Kidney Foundation, are an Olympic-style event for recipients of life-saving transplants including kidney, heart, liver, lung, pancreas and bone marrow.

The staff of the USA Regional Transplant Center is assisting the patients in their fund-raising efforts by selling the following items:

• The "Do Something Nice" Red Beans and Rice sponsored by the USA Residents' Alliance and USA Medical Center Auxiliary. A mason jar which includes the fixings for a pot of red beans and rice is $10. Checks payable to USAMC Auxiliary.• 
  
• Corvette raffle tickets sponsored by The National Council of Corvette Clubs. The drawing will be for a 2006 Corvette C6. The drawing is August 11 and the deadline for selling tickets is June 2. Tickets are $10 each or 3 for $25. Checks payable to NKF/NCCC.
  
• Donations for Life III is a collection of recipes honoring organ and tissue donors and their recipients. The cost is $12. These make wonderful gifts for your family and friends. Checks payable to NKF/Team Alabama.
  
• Donate Life bracelets are similar to the Lance Armstrong bracelets. They are green and say DONATE LIFE in both English and Spanish. These are $2 each or 3 for $5. Checks payable to NKF/Team Alabama.
