The University of South Alabama Physicians Group Lunch ‘N’ Learn lecture series will feature Dr. Adam Riker, Chief of Surgical Oncology at the USA Mitchell Cancer Institute. His lecture, entitled “Advances in Breast Cancer Treatment,” will take place on June 20, 2006, at 11:30 a.m. at the Infirmary West Conference Center. The lecture will provide details on new innovations in breast cancer treatment.

Riker recently joined the USA Mitchell Cancer Institute. Previously, he was on the surgical faculty at the H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center and Research Institute at the University of South Florida, Tampa, Fla.

According to the National Cancer Institute, one out of every eight women is likely to develop breast cancer at some point in their life.
