USA Biomedical Librarians Honored

Four librarians from the University of South Alabama Biomedical Library have recently received professional distinctions. |

Justin Robertson was awarded the Technology Awareness Grant from the Southeastern Atlantic/National Network of Libraries of Medicine (SE/A NN/LM). He will use this grant to provide a CyberCafe at the annual meeting of the Medical Association of the State of Alabama. He has been appointed to the serve on the SE/A NN/LM’s Technology Committee. He was also selected to serve as a member of the editorial board of the Journal of Electronic Resources in Medical Libraries. |

Clista Clanton has been selected to serve on the jury for the 2006 EBSCO MLA Annual Meeting Grant. This grant is given by the Medical Library Association to attend the MLA annual meeting. |

Ellen Sayed has been selected as a member of the Academy of Health Information Professionals at the distinguished level and Judy Burnham has been re-certified at this level. In addition, Burnham has been selected as chair of the Estelle Brodman Academic Medical Librarian of the Year Award Jury of the Medical Library Association. Sayed has been appointed to serve on the Outreach to Health Professionals Committee of the Southeastern Atlantic/National Network of Libraries of Medicine. |
