The University of South Alabama Mitchell Cancer Institute SPF (Skin Protection Force) 90 Team will be on hand at this year’s Azalea Trail Run providing free skin cancer screenings on March 24, 2007. Screenings will take place at the Mobile Civic Center during and immediately following the race.

Skin cancer is largely a preventable disease. The program’s name – SPF 90 - underscores the important message that protecting your skin from ultraviolet rays is the best way to prevent skin cancer and the fact that 90 percent of skin cancer is curable if detected early.
