A Special Lunch and Learn Series: “Chronic Gynecologic Conditions”

 

The University of South Alabama Physicians Group Lunch ‘N’ Learn lecture series will feature Dr. Stephen T. F. Varner, assistant professor of obstetrics and gynecology. This lecture, exclusively for women, is entitled “Chronic Gynecologic Conditions.” It will take place on May 25, 2007 at 11:30 a.m. at the Infirmary West Conference Center and will provide details on a variety of chronic gynecological conditions that women face.

Varner is the director of the USA Vaginitis and Vulvar Disease Clinic and a member of the USA College of Medicine faculty. He practices at the USA Center for Women’s Health.

The USA Vaginitis and Vulvar Disease Clinic provides care for women with Lichen Sclerosus, Lichen Planus, Squamous Cell Hyperplasia, Vulvodynia, Desquamative Inflammatory Vaginitis, recurrent vulvar ulcers, Vulvar Intraepithelial Neoplasms, recurrent Vulvovaginal Candidiasis and Bacterial Vaginosis and other disorders that cause chronic or recurrent vulvovaginal symptoms or pain. Many of these uncomfortable conditions are dermatological in nature and are often misdiagnosed and mistreated.
