Librarians from the University of South Alabama Biomedical Library recently visited Governor Bob Riley in Montgomery. Librarians Judy Burnham and Ellen Sayed joined other library colleagues from around the state for a meeting to demonstrate the new Health InfoNet of Alabama website and the Go Local database, a module of MedlinePlus. |
| The Alabama Health Libraries Association librarians throughout the state played a major role in developing the GoLocal project. |
Both projects provide medical information to consumers. Sayed is president of the Alabama Health Libraries Association and Burnham serves on the Health InfoNet Advisory Board. For more information on Health InfoNet of Alabama and GoLocal, visit the website: http://www.healthinfonet.org. For consumer health information, visit MedlinePlus, http://www.medlineplus.gov. |
