Lunch and Learn Series: “Mommy Makeovers”

The University of South Alabama Physicians Group Lunch ‘N’ Learn July lecture series will feature Dr. Harold Webb. His lecture, entitled “Mommy Makeovers,” will take place on July 18, 2007 at 11:30 a.m. at the Infirmary West Conference Center. The lecture will provide detailed information about a variety of plastic surgery procedures available to women. |

| In his lecture, Webb will discuss procedures such as such as breast enlargement, breast reduction and breast lifts for women who have breastfed their children. His talk will also detail popular procedures women choose following pregnancy such as tummy tucks and liposuction. |

Webb, a plastic surgeon and assistant professor of surgery at the USA College of Medicine, is experienced in all cosmetic and reconstructive surgical procedures. His office is located at 1 Medical Park at Infirmary West. |

According to the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, more than 325,000 tummy tucks, breast augmentations and breast lifts were performed on women ages 20-39 in 2006, an increase of about 11 percent from 2005. Postpartum plastic surgery is becoming increasingly common as procedures are becoming more affordable. The most popular procedures include breast augmentation, liposuction, breast reduction, rhinoplasty, tummy tucks and procedures to decrease stretch marks. |
