Dr. J. Ivan Lopez, pediatric neurologist at the University of South Alabama, was recently elected a Fellow Member of the American Academy of Neurology. He was elected in recognition of his contributions to the Academy and to the neurology community. He also received certification in Headache Medicine by the United Council for Neurologic Subspecialties.

Dr. Lopez was elected from among active members who have met strict requirements on the length of membership, participation in professional meetings and achievements in the field of neurosciences. He is also the only neurologist in Mobile with certification in Headache Medicine.
