The Patient Representative encourages you to know and understand your rights and responsibilities as a patient. The Patient Representative is available to assist patients, their families and visitors in their interactions with USA Medical Center. As an advocate for you and your family, the Patient Representative is able to:
- listen and resolve concerns that you may have regarding your hospitalization or hospital services
- answer questions or communicate your requests to the appropriate hospital department
- orient your family or other visitors to the hospital
- put you in touch with a member of the Medical Ethics Committee for a consultation to help resolve any conflicts or ethical dilemmas which you may perceive in the course of your care.

To contact the Patient Representative, Monday - Friday from 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., call 7-7127 (if calling from inside the hospital) or (251) 471-7127 (if calling from outside the hospital).
On nights, weekends and holidays, you may leave a message on the answering machine. If you need immediate assistance, you may dial 0 and ask the operator to contact the Nursing Supervisor for you. |
