The Center for Integrative Studies in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (CISSTEM) is a playground where scientists can collaborate, experiment, evaluate, explore, and grow innovative stem activities. CISSTEM brings together regional and national researchers to contribute to the knowledge base addressing critical issues in stem education - birth to expert.
South Alabama Research and Inservice Center
The South Alabama Research and Inservice Center (SARIC) was established by the Alabama legislature in 1984-85 as one of eleven regional centers whose purpose is to provide professional development to the K-12 educators in designated public school systems in its geographic region. SARIC has been funded yearly since 1984-85. SARIC may provide professional development in the areas of: language arts; math; science; social studies; technology; special education; health; library/media; economics, administration; and, guidance/counseling.
