The College of Allied Health Ceremony is held in recognition of the accomplishments of our Allied Health graduates. It is an opportunity for Allied Health graduates to celebrate their success with friends, family, and the Pat Capps Covey College of Allied Health Professions faculty and staff.

 

Important Information

All students planning to participate in the Pat Capps Covey College of Allied Health Professions Ceremony must complete a Ceremony Participant Information Form, linked below. If you have any questions concerning the ceremony, please e-mail Ms. Jan Wilson at kjwilson@southalabama.edu.

College of Allied Health Ceremony FAQs

The College of Allied Health Ceremony is held in recognition of the accomplishments of our allied health graduates. It is an opportunity for allied health graduates to celebrate their success with friends, family, and Pat Capps Covey College of Allied Health Professions faculty and staff.
The College of Allied Health Ceremony is an acknowledgement ceremony that is exclusive to allied health graduates. The College of Allied Health Ceremony is held each semester (fall, spring, and summer). The fall and spring College of Allied Health Ceremonies are always held before the University Ceremony. The University Ceremony is the University-wide graduation ceremony. The University Ceremony is held twice a year in fall and spring on a Saturday at the USA Mitchell Center. Students are hooded during the College of Allied Health Ceremony. They are not hooded during the University Ceremony. Doctoral students will receive their diploma at the University Ceremony.

The length of the ceremony varies based upon the number of participants.
Yes. Participants should wear traditional business attire or business casual under the academic regalia (cap and gown). Please leave purses and other items with your guests. The Pat Capps Covey College of Allied Health Professions faculty and staff are NOT responsible for students' personal belongings.
The Pat Capps Covey College of Allied Health Professions does not issue formal invitations for the College of Allied Health Ceremony. Students may contact the USA Bookstore if interested in ordering the College of Allied Health Ceremony announcements.
