The College of Education and Professional Studies is committed to creating and sustaining an inclusive environment where every student's unique identity is valued and respected, and in which students feel safe to explore their intellectual, interpersonal and professional development in order to serve competently in a multicultural world.

Faculty, staff and administrators of the College of Education and Professional Studies are dedicated to making an active, conscious, and intentional effort to provide educational experiences, conduct research, and provide community service in a manner which furthers our collective capacity for civil discourse, which actively combats racism, sexism and other forms of bigotry, and which reflects an appreciation for diverse values and cultures of all people.

The University of South Alabama's Division of Student Affairs recently honored 17 graduating seniors with its inaugural Jaguar Senior Medallion Society Award for outstanding academic and leadership achievements and community engagement. Kennedy Reese, a secondary education major, received the Excellence in Diversity Award.

USA Students Elect 2022-23 SGA Officers

The Student Government Association executive board at the University of South Alabama has been elected for the 2022-2023 academic year. Two College of Education and Professional Studies students have been elected, including Camille Bonura, a junior hospitality and tourism management major who will serve as SGA president. Ansley Majewski, a junior majoring in recreational therapy, will serve as a student-at-large.
