'The First Step in Reaching My Goal Required that I Return to College'
Tuesday - January 7, 2020
Christopher Pritchett attended South as a traditional student from 1992 to 1996 as a theatre arts major; however, he left without earning a degree. Pritchett graduated from the USA College of Education and Professional Studies in December 2019. He currently lives in North Carolina and earned an online bachelor's interdisciplinary studies with a focus in applied arts.

"Backpacks for Success" Simulation Held for USA Preservice Teachers

A team of researchers, led by USA College of Education and Professional Studies faculty members, recently implemented "Backpacks for Success" for more than 30 USA preservice teachers. The simulation was held to challenge participants to become aware of the adversities influencing the lives of students every day.

Cammie Adams Selected as Alabama New Counselor of the Year

Cammie Adams' passion for helping students outside the classroom drew her from being a physical education teacher to serving as a high school counselor. "It wasn't long into my first year of teaching that I became aware of the hardships some of my students were experiencing," said Adams, who was a first generation college student.
