Michael Lacoste is the Culinary Arts instructor at Ocean Springs High School. Born and raised in Ocean Springs, Mississippi, Chef Lacoste graduated from Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College and attended The University of South Alabama where he studied entrepreneurship and worked in various restaurants gaining valuable knowledge pertaining to the industry. Upon his return to the Gulf Coast, Chef Lacoste and long time friend, Khalid Zayed, opened a restaurant in downtown Ocean Springs called Mediterraneo Bistro, which specialized in Middle-Eastern cuisine. The restaurant was very successful for several years with Lacoste serving as the Executive Chef. In 2014, Chef Lacoste was hired as the culinary instructor at his high school alma mater where his "Greyhound Gourmets" have repeatedly won or placed in numerous culinary competitions. Chef's students also excel in the classroom maintaining a top ten test score ranking each year. Chef Lacoste inspires his students daily with his knowledge and experience in the restaurant and hospitality industry.

Executive Chef Jeff Jenkins
Jeffery Jenkins has worked in the gaming industry for going on 28 years. He is the Executive Chef at Harrah’s Gulf Coast a gaming and hospitality company owned by Caesars Entertainment. As part of working for Harrah’s Jeffery has worked to share in the company passion for giving back to the community. Jeffery volunteers throughout the Gulf Coast assisting in local charities, veteran events, and mentoring at-risk youth. Chef Jeffery is the 4th quarter Caesars Veteran of the Quarter winner for 2019. He has been married for 28 years to Nefer Jenkins and they share three kids, and three grandchildren.
Chef Josh Mitchell
Josh Mitchell has been with the Harrah’s Gulf Coast over 10 years. He have been formally mentored by several talented chefs with diverse professional training and backgrounds, Cameron Razavi and Kelly English. “Camron introduced me to new generation culinary trends,” said Josh. Their mentorship allowed Josh the opportunity to explore the culinary experience from multiple cultures and make every dining experience unique in its own way. Josh was born in Colorado Springs, Colorado and at a young age moved to Biloxi, Mississippi where he was raised. He started his culinary career as a kitchen steward and was shortly thereafter promoted to a line cook. Josh continued to be promoted into several culinary positions and is currently the Magnolia House Room Chef. Chef Josh enjoys the creativity of food and to explore different culture cuisines to find fusion that will amaze the guests.
