Jaclyn Parker is the Culinary Arts instructor at Stone High School in Wiggins, MS. She has 12 years of teaching experience and is currently the Career and Technical Department Chair for Stone High. She is an active SkillsUSA advisor, with several students competing nationally. She also serves on the Mississippi SkillsUSA Executive Board. She was named the 2015 Educator of the Year by the Stone County Economic Development Partnership. She has served on the state’s Culinary Arts Task Force, curriculum writing team, and the CPAS writing team. Mrs. Parker is the Culinary Arts Methods instructor for Mississippi State’s Research and Curriculum Unit, training the state’s newest secondary culinary instructors for the past two years.

Most recently, she expanded the culinary arts program at Stone High School, opening a coffee shop for third year students to manage, The Border Brew Café. The café is managed by third year students, but also provides work-based learning experience for levels I and II culinary students. In addition to being a hub for students after school, Border Brew Café is open to the public.

Prior to teaching, Mrs. Parker worked in the foodservice industry as a catering coordinator for a foodservice contract company. She attended MS Gulf Coast Community College, obtaining an Associate of Arts degree and the University of Southern Mississippi, earning a bachelor’s degree in Liberal Arts as an English major. She is currently pursuing a master’s degree of Educational Leadership at William Carey University.

Sandra has an outstanding career in the hospitality industry with a specialty in baking and French Pastries. She has honed her skills in various operations including the Itta Bena Restaurant  (owned by Morgan Freeman), Hollywood Casino, Horseshoe Casino and Ameristar Casino before joining the Golden Nugget team in July of 2018.

Sandra graduated for L`E Cole Culinaire with an emphasis on baking and pastry. She also completed internships in Paris, France as well as Madrid, Spain. Sandra has a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences from the University of Memphis and a Bachelor of Science in turf management from Penn State University.
