These events in the MCOB provide opportunities for students to learn about companies and industries, and to network with business professionals.

Lunch & Learn

Lunch and Learn Professional Development Workshops focus on areas identified by business leaders as critical for success in the workplace. Workshops cover interviewing, networking tips, personal and professional branding, personal finance, and glimpses into the lives of industry professionals.

Take 5 (conversations with professionals over coffee)

Spend time at Bubba's Cafe with business professionals discussing the latest trends in business, asking questions about industry, and networking.

Other Professional Development Activities

PREP offers a robust schedule of professional development activities to help you become a well-rounded business professional. Activities include workshops, guest speakers, executive lecture series, company tours, job shadowing, professional dress and image building consulting, office and dining etiquette, international travel, sports (tennis, golf, racquetball) and theater outings, and networking events.

Career Fairs

Mitchell College hosts multiple career fairs that are solely for business students. Each career fair focuses on a business major, allowing students direct access to employers seeking employees with specific discipline-based skills. Career fairs allow students and employers to network and identify the best opportunities.
