I grew up in a small town north of Mobile, called Chunchula, Alabama. I graduated from South in 2017, and I am currently pursuing my Masters Degree. While a student at South I was involved in many different organizations and had a Student Assistant job in the Athletic Department. Growing up I never really considered coming to South until some of close friends started going to school here. I came to visit them and fell in love with the University. I started here in fall 2013, and being a first generation student I had no idea about the college process, the advisors and professors here at South helped me through every step of the way. I met my wife, Savannah, here during my sophomore year and we were married in June 2018 and our expecting our first child this fall! South will always be a special place for me and I am so excited to be able to give back to this University.

Thing to do campus
Definitely would be the Rec Center and Athletics. The Rec has anything you could want to do, from our first class resort style pool to ping pong tables and a rock wall. We even have outdoor adventures for all the outdoor enthusiast, where you can rent out all kinds of equipment and even take a group trip. I'm also a huge sports fan so any type of Athletic event I enjoy getting to see, especially baseball and Stanky Field. We are also nearing completion of our on campus stadium set to open for the 2020 season!
Thing About USA
The Growth and Diversity on Campus. South is just a little over 50 years old and in that 50 years we’ve went from a small campus with just a couple buildings to a beautiful 1,200 acre campus with state of the art class rooms and labs and continue to grow each year! The diversity on campus is unbelievable, we have students from all 50 states and from countries all over the world!
Thing to do in Mobile
Food and Mardi Gras, Mobile has some of the best seafood in the world, it is always fresh from the Gulf of Mexico and always delicious. We also have a wide variety of local restaurants downtown and in the surrounding area that are amazing in their own way. Mardi Gras is an absolute must do in Mobile. Home to the original Mardi Gras since the 1700s this month long celebration is one of my favorite times of the year!
Country is by far my favorite, however I will jam out to some old school rock and roll when in the mood.
