Mobile is considered “the big city” where I’m from. Growing up, I traveled to Mobile
often to shop or see family, and I passed through the city on my way to the beaches
and outlets. Being from southern Alabama, I learned about the University of South
Alabama at an early age. As a young adult, I frequented USA to tailgate with friends,
attend concerts at Laidlaw Performing Arts Center and various events at the Mitchell
Center… and to drop off my husband (then boyfriend) for classes.
My experiences at USA's campus, though limited, were all very memorable… So you can only imagine how excited I was when I was offered an opportunity to work here. South’s development over the years has been remarkable and I am so happy that I will be here to witness the great things that are still to come. As Director of New Student Orientation and Special Events, my goal is to assist current and prospective students as they pursue their academic goals and aid in USA’s continuing growth. I am proud to say that I am part of the Jag family! Go Jaguars!
