About Me

As a native of Mobile, I knew that South was the college for me. It was close to home, but living on campus gave me the autonomy that I needed in my college experience. I am a proud first-generation college graduate from USA. I earned two bachelor's degrees during my undergraduate studies and am currently pursuing a master's of education in higher education leadership.  One of my favorite USA memories is of my summer study abroad program in Dijon, France. I'm so thankful for my experiences as a student!

After graduation, I began my career recruiting in the Birmingham, Ala., area. I have had the opportunity to work with students and families domestically and internationally to simplify and demystify the college admissions process. Currently, I am the responsible for students in Florida and look forward to seeing you on campus!

My Favorite:

Thing to do on campus

Walk with my husband and black pug (Bruce) on the Glenn Sebastian Nature Trails. You can choose a path of 1 mile, 1.5 miles, 2 miles, or even a 5k!

Thing about USA

Everyone has a chance to shine at South Alabama. The opportunities for success are available to all students, regardless of the background that you come from. As a first-generation college student, I was so scared that I wouldn't "fit" on a college campus. I'm so happy to call USA my home institution!

Place to eat in Mobile

We've got a great food scene in Mobile.

For lunch I love to visit La Cocina Mexican Restaurant. If we're going for dinner, I'm heading to either 7Spice Grill or Butch Cassidy's Cafe (the burgers are amazing!).

For a sweet treat, I always pick Cammie's Old Dutch Ice Cream Shoppe. It doesn't get any better than locally made ice cream. If you stop by around Mardi Gras, try the king cake ice cream -- it's delicious!

Adele, Ed Sheeran, and Lady Gaga are some of my all-time favorites. Other than that, anything that is classic and calm will do the trick.

I just recently saw the Jurassic Park movies -- where have these been all of my life?!
