I started my journey to South as a transfer student and had the opportunity to cheer for the inaugural football season in 2009. Mobile has always been my home but it took moving away right after high school to realize my love for it. There’s a special warmth, literally and figuratively, that’s hard to find anywhere else. Many people know Mobile for its Mardi Gras celebrations, fresh seafood, and historic architecture. But it’s blossomed into the ideal atmosphere for a growing university. As a young university, students are creating the culture and traditions of our campus each day and I couldn’t think of a better time to be a Jag.
