Mississippi Alumni and Friends – Show your Jaguar pride with a Jag Tag!

The Mississippi Department of Revenue has approved the University of South Alabama to create a Mississippi Jag tag. In order to make this tag a reality, USA is required to pre-sell 300 of the specialty license tags to our alumni and friends. The deadline to apply for a tag is April 30, 2021.

Reserve your specialty Mississippi/University of South Alabama Jag tag today. It’s secure, simple and takes only a few minutes to complete.

How do I reserve a Mississippi Jag tag?

  1. Submit the $53 license fee to the University of South Alabama online.
  2. Once your payment is received, the University will email you the Mississippi Specialty License Plate Application to complete and sign digitally.  Once signed, this form will be automatically returned to the University.

Frequently Asked Questions

▼   What happens next?
The USA National Alumni Association must pre-sell a minimum of 300 specialty Jag tags before the Mississippi Department of Revenue will begin production on the new tag. Once 300 tags have been pre-sold, the USA National Alumni Association will submit the applications and fees to the State of Mississippi. At that time, the tag will be sent for production.
▼   How long will it take before the tags are produced?
The length of time is dependent on how long it takes to pre-sell the initial 300 tags.
▼   How will I know when my tag is ready?
If you preorder a Mississippi Jag tag, the USA National Alumni Association will notify you by email when tag may be picked up at the tax collector in your county of residence.
▼   How will the funds be used?

USA Health treats thousands of Mississippians each year. By supporting USA via a Mississippi Jag Tag, a portion of your fee will be deposited into the Mississippi Trauma and Burn Care funds, both of which support USA Health trauma and burn centers.

The USA National Alumni Association will only collect the fees for the first 300 pre-sold tags, as required by the Mississippi Department of Revenue. Once 300 tags have been pre-sold, the USA National Alumni Association will submit your application and fees to the State of Mississippi, on your behalf.

▼   What happens if the 300 minimum is not met?
If the 300 minimum is not met, applicants will be able to receive a full refund, and the Mississippi Jag tag will not be produced. You will also have the option to donate the cost of the tag to the University. The deadline to apply for a tag is April 30, 2021.
