Celebrate your birthday party or special event with us on the outdoor pool deck. Our outdoor pool is the perfect venue for any special event. The leisure pool has swings, tables with chairs, and lounge chairs for your guests to relax in. There is a shallow water area for sunbathing or for small children to enjoy, as well as volleyball and basketball courts, or water polo goals in our deep water well for your sports enthusiasts. Your guests can also enjoy other features such as the vortex and hot tub for anyone over 13 years of age.
The outdoor pool is available for special events April 1st-October 30th (weather permitting). You must be a member of the Student Recreation Center to reserve the outdoor pool. Reservations begin March 1st each year. Pool parties cannot be combined with Rock Wall or other parties. You must register for those areas separately. Two parties can be booked per event date unless one of the parties has booked 76-100 guests (this would be a private event).
Saturday Mornings 10:00 AM- 12 noon (set up can start at 9:30 am)

Saturday Evening Parties are only available the last Saturday of each month and must be booked 3 weeks in advance.
Campus Police must be reserved for all evening events.
Current USA Students, Athletic Teams, Sororities, Fraternities, or other student groups may reserve the outdoor pool for their organization during the times listed above, or on Thursday nights from 8:30-10:30 PM.
The indoor pool cannot be rented for special events. We do not rent lanes, or any area of the pool decks when we are open to our patrons.
Your party can begin setting up for your event at 9:30 AM for morning parties or 7:30 PM for evening events. You must check in at the front desk before going to the pool deck to set up. Once you have checked in with the lifeguards you can use the outdoor pool gate to bring in your party items.
We provide lifeguards on the deck, two 4 foot tables for each party, umbrellas(we no longer have canopies but you can bring one if you like), noodles, volleyball and basketballs, and use of all furniture on the pool deck.
You may bring in pool toys, food and drinks for your event. Each party is provided with the set up seen in the picture below.
Your guests can park in the parking lot in front of the Recreation center or in the lot below the pool by the pump room (once on Stadium Drive go to 4 way stop and turn left rather than make a U turn) Parking is also available in the gravel lot off of Old Shell road before you get to stadium drive. Please note that this lot is not available during USA baseball games and parking may be difficult during special events at the Mitchell Center.

*Please note that Special Event pricing includes everyone on the pool deck, not just those swimming. We provide lifeguards based on the number you have selected attending. You cannot go over that number. The maximum number of patrons allowed at a pool event is 100.

Special Event Fees for Saturday Evening parties:
We offer Evening parties for patrons 16 and up. The cost for an evening party is $300.00 plus an hourly fee for campus police.
Evening parties can be booked the first Saturday of the month 8:00-10:00 PM. Student Groups may reserve the outdoor pool deck on Thursday evenings from 8:30-10:30 PM.
All payments are online; no cash or checks accepted.
All Saturday Mornings have been booked for the 2017 season. Registration for 2018 Spring/Summer/Fall will begin March 1st, 2018.
