The University of South Alabama offers 24/7 access to education through USAonline. Our online courses use advances in technology to provide you with a quality education on your schedule. In addition to over 250 online courses each semester, we offer a growing number of fully online graduate degrees and upper division (junior-senior) programs of interest to community college graduates and returning students who want to complete their degrees online.

Online Undergraduate Degrees and Degree Completion Programs

The University of South Alabama offers  multiple fully-online and degree-completion programs for students of all ages who wish to begin or complete their college degree.

Interdisciplinary Studies (BA or BS) (fully online)

Interdisciplinary Studies is a fully-online, customizable program that allows each student to design her or his own program of study based on individual professional and personal goals.  This flexible degree can maximize use of transfer credits from other accredited universities and shorten time to degree completion.

Students earn a Bachelor of Science (BS) or Bachelor of Arts (BA) based on their choice of seven concentrations:

Administrative Sciences - Composed primarily of coursework from business and related fields, such as communication and information technology.

Applied Arts - Composed primarily of coursework from the fine arts and humanities, but may include scientific or technical coursework as well.

Applied Sciences - Composed primarily of coursework from the sciences and technical fields.

Community Services - Composed primarily of coursework from the social sciences (especially political science and criminal justice), education, or health.

Human Services - Composed primarily of coursework from the social sciences (especially psychology and sociology), education, or health.

Liberal Studies - Composed primarily of coursework from the humanities and social sciences.

Professional Development - Composed of coursework suited to the unique demands of a particular career path.

Nursing (fully-online option)

As an early adopter of the use of technology in education, the faculty at the USA College of Nursing are experts in delivering high quality online nursing degree programs for the working nurse.

Complete your courses online and if you are like most students you will be able to complete clinical requirements in your home communities while working with a preceptor and your faculty.

General Business Major (online degree completion)

The online general business major is designed for students that have completed, or are in the process of completing, the freshman and sophomore level degree requirements and who desire to complete a business degree through the online delivery of the junior and senior level requirements.

Emergency Medical Services (EMS) (online degree completion)

Students may enter the Bachelors Degree EMS Core each semester. The Department offers the EMS Core classes fully online and also in an executive weekend format, with classes meeting for four weekend sessions per semester.  Classes are instructed in online or weekend blended format.  Check with the department for the specific weekend dates which will become available approximately 8 weeks before the beginning of the semester.
