University of South Alabama President Gordon Moulton will discuss recent success and the future of the University during his fall “State of the University” address to the USA faculty at 4 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 9, in the Laidlaw Performing Arts Building Recital Hall.
Moulton is expected to discuss:
- USA’s record this fall as the fastest growing university in the state of Alabama.
- USA’s success in receiving the largest percentage increase in state funds for the current year.
- Record levels of contract and grant funding for research and outreach programs.
- Record federal appropriations.
Moulton is expected to discuss several new initiatives at the University, including a new regional cancer center and a new $8 million library on which construction will begin later this year.
