USA President Gives University Excellent Bill of Health at Annual Fall “State of the University” Address

The University of South Alabama’s vital signs are the strongest they’ve been in several years, says USA President Gordon Moulton, who today spoke to faculty members at his fall “State of the University” address at USA’s Laidlaw Performing Arts Center.

Moulton pointed out…

  • USA’s record this fall as the fastest growing university in the state of Alabama.
  • USA’s success in receiving the largest percentage increase in state funds for the current year.
  • Record levels of contract and grant funding for research and outreach programs, and
  • Record federal appropriations.

Moulton added that USA will soon begin construction on a new $8 million library, and is creating a new comprehensive academic cancer research and treatment center for the Gulf Coast region.
