Intensive clinics for students at the secondary level in math, study skills and writing will be offered July 9-20 by the University of South Alabama Developmental Studies Program.
Students may be enrolled for remediation of difficulties, strengthening of existing skills, enrichment for acceleration, or improvement of attitudes and motivation.
The math clinic times will be 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m.-4:30 p.m. The study skills clinic will be from 1 p.m.-2 p.m. and the writing clinic will be from 9 a.m.-10 a.m. Clinics will be held on the USA main campus. Clinic fees are as follows: Math, $275; Writing, $150; and Study Skills, $150. Fees will be discounted for students enrolled in more than one clinic.
Class sizes will be limited in order to accommodate the needs of each student, and each class will be directed by USA developmental studies faculty. A learning lab will be available for supplemental work with computer-assisted instruction or videotaped lectures.
