Julia Janasky Crowned Miss USA 2002

Sophomore Julia Janasky was crowned Miss USA 2002 at the Feb. 9 pageant. Janasky also won a talent award for vocals on "I Just Want to be a Star" as well as a swimsuit award.

First runner-up is sophomore Anna Reynolds. Miss USA 2001 Tia Brown made a dance appearance and reflected on her year of service to the university. The pageant was sponsored by Pi Kappa Phi fraternity.

As Miss USA, Janasky was awarded a $1,500 scholarship.
