The National Players, America's longest-running classical touring company, will perform William Shakespeare's comic classic, "A Midsummer Night's Dream" on Jan. 24 at Mobile's Saenger Theater. The 8 p.m. show is free to all area high school and college students and teachers.
The event is part of the Second Annual Mobile Shakespeare Festival, sponsored by University of South Alabama's Jaguar Productions and its English Department. No reservations are necessary. Tickets will be available beginning at 7 p.m. that evening on a first-come, first-served basis. General admission is $15.

The Players also will offer a series of workshops from 10:10-11:00 a.m. for area students on Friday, Jan. 23, at the University of South Alabama's Laidlaw Performing Arts Center.
The second component of this year's Mobile Shakespeare Festival will be a series of performances of Shakespeare's "The Comedy of Errors" by the USA drama department this spring.
