The Gulf Coast Liver Disease Support Group will meet Thursday, May 27 at 7 p.m. in the west tower conference room of University of South Alabama Knollwood Hospital, 5600 Girby Road. Dr. Jorge L. Herrera with the USA Division of Gastroenterology will present, “Living with Cirrhosis.”

There is a great deal of misunderstanding about cirrhosis including what causes it and how the severity of the disease is determined. Dr. Herrera will discuss cirrhosis and how those diagnosed with it can stay healthy.
