Mobile, Ala.- The department of English and the College of Arts and Sciences at USA is
sponsoring the third annual Mobile Shakespeare Festival, which will feature a performance by
the National Players, America's longest running classical touring company.
The Washington, D.C., group will perform Shakespeare's "Romeo and Juliet" at 8 p.m. on
Friday, Feb. 18 at the Saenger Theatre in Mobile. Admission is free for all area students
and faculty, and general admission is $15. No advance ticket purchases are necessary.
All tickets will be available when the theater doors open at 7 p.m. on the evening of the
show, and all seating is on a first-come, first-served basis. Following the show, the actors
will be available for a question and answer session.
The National Players will also host a series of free acting workshops on Friday, Feb. 18
from 10:15 a.m.-noon at the Laidlaw Performing Arts Center.
