Dr. Mohammad Alam, professor and chair of the department of electrical and computer engineering at the University of South Alabama, and other ECE faculty and graduate students presented two invited papers and nine contributed papers at the 2005 Society for Optical Engineering Defense and Security Symposium, the largest, unclassified international symposium related to sensors and sensor networks.
Presenting papers at the symposium held recently in Orlando, Fla., were electrical and computer engineering faculty Drs. Alam and Aed El-Saba, assistant professor; postdoctoral research associates Drs. Abdullah Bal and Elhoussine Horache; and Dr. Richard F. Sims, senior electrical engineer for the U.S. Army Research Laboratory.
Also participating were electrical and computer engineering graduate students Sharif M. A. Bhuiyan, Chye Loo, Jesmin F. Khan, Sue F. Goh and Srikanth Dacharaju.
