John and Tina Hancock have given an electronic wheelchair to USA's Office of Special Student Services for use by students when their wheelchairs break down or are being repaired. John works as an electrician II in the maintenance department, and Tina serves as a human resources aide III. The couple, who have worked at USA since 1999, said they noticed a need for a spare wheelchair to help students around campus.
The gift is part of Campaign USA, the University's first comprehensive fund-raising campaign that seeks to raise $75 million for USA programs, faculty, students and construction over the next three years. Campaign USA was launched in March and, to date, has raised $45.3 million.
