The University of South Alabama Mitchell College of Business and Edward Jones present motivational speaker Craig MacFarlane at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 11 at the Laidlaw Performing Arts Center on the USA campus.
MacFarlane was diagnosed as blind at the age of 2. He is an accomplished athlete and won his first blind national wrestling championship at age 13. He was the youngest member of Canada’s blind Olympic wrestling team. In addition to his athletic accomplishments, he also recorded an album and wrote his own autobiography, “Inner Vision.”
MacFarlane speaks in communities across the continent with uplifting and positive messages that inspire others to believe and achieve their dreams. He joined Edward Jones, an investment firm, in 1991. MacFarlane has spoken at three Republican National Conventions and 800 Rotary Clubs, including Lions Club Conventions and the Rotary International Conventions. |
