The biomedical sciences department at the University of South Alabama will be the host for the 2007 Regional Science Olympiad, which will be held from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m., Saturday, February 10, on the main campus. USA will host the Olympiad, which gives students from approximately 21 regional middle and high schools the opportunity to compete in a variety of hands-on science events. More than 400 students, parents, and teachers are expected to attend the event. Although the event emphasizes various sciences, faculty and staff from other disciplines are also participating as well as university students.
