Enterprise physician Dr. Scott Charlton, USA's newest Board of Trustees member, visited the University of South Alabama on Thursday. Charlton, a graduate of USA’s College of Medicine, was recently named to the University’s Board of Trustees by Gov. Bob Riley. He is pictured above visiting the neonatal intensive care unit at the University of South Alabama Children’s and Women’s Hospital in Mobile with USA President Gordon Moulton and Becky DeVillier, hospital administrator. USA’s Children’s and Women’s Hospital is the only neonatal intensive care hospital in the Mobile region and is the birthplace of more than 3,000 babies annually, one of the largest birthing hospitals in Alabama. USA is one of Alabama’s fastest growing universities with 13,300 students, many from the Enterprise and Dothan areas. Charlton graduated from USA in 1994 and is an ear, nose and throat specialist. |
